The UK Government offers several funding schemes to help households and businesses cut energy costs, lower emissions, and improve property efficiency.
Altum connects you to the right scheme based on your eligibility, managing everything from assessment and paperwork to installation through our accredited engineers.
Whether you qualify for the ECO4 scheme, the Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS), or the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), our team ensures a smooth, end-to-end process to help you access available funding and enjoy a warmer, greener, more efficient home.

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO4) scheme provides full or partial funding for energy-saving measures in qualifying homes. Backed by the UK Government and energy suppliers, it helps reduce household bills and carbon emissions through insulation, renewable heating, and solar installations.
You may qualify if your household meets one or more of the following:

The Great British Insulation Scheme (GBIS) is designed for households that don’t meet ECO4 criteria but still want to improve energy efficiency. It provides funding for a single insulation measure, helping reduce heat loss and lower bills across a wider range of homes.
You may qualify if:
GBIS doesn’t require you to receive benefits, it’s open to middle-income and vulnerable households.
Available Upgrades:
Altum will handle your eligibility check, property survey, and installation through TrustMark-accredited partners.

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) provides grants to help homeowners and small businesses switch from gas, oil, or LPG systems to low-carbon heating such as Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) or Ground Source Heat Pumps (GSHP). The scheme offers up to £7,500 towards installation costs — making renewable heating more accessible than ever.
You may be eligible if:

Yes, depending on your circumstances, you may qualify for different measures under ECO4, GBIS, or BUS. Altum will guide you through the best route to maximise your funding.
Not always. ECO4 often supports income based benefit recipients, but GBIS and BUS are open to a wider range of households, including those on middle incomes.
All three schemes provide grants or funding contributions, not loans, you don’t have to repay the support received.
From eligibility check to installation, most projects are completed within 4–8 weeks, depending on survey and funding approval times.
